MORRISON, White Hall, Jr. Age 86. Monday, January 28, 2002 at Baptist Hospital. Born September 3, 1915. he was the son of White Hall Morrison and Sarah Herbert Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Morrison Krejci. He graduated from Duncan Preparatory School in 1933 and attended Engineering School at Vanderbilt. He was a member of Alpha Chi high school and Phi Delta Theta College fraternities. He devoted his working life to furniture manufacturing at the now closed Davis Cabinet Co. of which he was Vice-President.

He served in the Air Force on a B-24 in World War II. He joined the Rotary Club in 1946 and served as President 1953-54. He spent 35 years as Scout Master at TPS with underprivileged boys. He served in the Davidson County Court as magistrate for 12 years. He was a member of West End United Methodist Church and former member of the Official Board.

He was a member of Board of Directors of W.G. Bush Brick the Tennessee English Speaking Union and Sons of the American Revolution, former Chairman of Clan Morrison of North America of Highland Games of North Carolina for 22 years, a member of Belle Meade Country Club where he had a hole in one on 3 of the 4 par 3 holes. An avid golfer, he played 18 holes 3 times a week as late as December 2001. He was a member and past president of Southern Seniors Golf Association, a member of Gasparilla 48ers and a member and past captain of the 200 Club. The late Cawthon Bowen wrote in Profiles of Past Presidents of Rotary, "Although they offer a firm and enduring testimonial to his good citizenship, Whitey modestly disclaims credit for his community efforts.

It is refreshing to find a person SO dedicated to the oldfashioned virtues of honesty, trustworthiness and fair dealing plus modesty. It would be difficult to disagree with these basic maxims and what community would not be improved if every one felt the same?"
