Custom Scheduling via the Editor

So I've have not tried messing with creating a schedule with the editor before and wanted to know any advice on how to start and what to watch out for in the process.

Here's what I have planned:
- Editing during the preseason
- Editing the SCHD table using Excel
- Reimporting the table using the editor

Here's what I am not 100% sure on:
- Are there any other tables that need to be edited?
- Am I limited to the same number of games per week that already exist?
- Is there any way to edit neutral site locations?
- Is there any reason why I cannot use this to create multiple protected rivalries across conference divisions?

I'm planning on creating a spreadsheet that will help manage the process and to make sure I don't have any duplicate games. Any assistance is appreciated.

Re: Custom Scheduling via the Editor

my advice: I think using excel would make it harder to schedule, more prone for errors. I create schedules for all P5 teams in my dynasty and use the editor only

If you do schedules in preseason, only the SCHD table needs to be edited

No, you are limited to the total number of games that are created. also conference schedules can be changed at whim. Each game in each week has a game number, you should make sure you have a contiguous range

I do this in week 1 of the season. you can set it to any site, but make sure you say its a home game for both teams in team schedule

you can do what you want with the schedule. in my dynasty I actually have the ACC as a 16 team, 4 pod with 8 conf games and there's no issues

What you're saying is i can move a game to a different week? Emulating a real schedule may leave out games or have extra games in a week. So if youre stating you can move a week 7 scheduled game to week 2 that would be neat

absolutely, you can move games to any week you want. in my dynasty, UK-UL is always week 14. in fact conference games can be changed, I have a 16 team ACC that plays an 8 game schedule

a game has two properties
week and game #
if you move a game to a new week, you need to increase it's game number to the highest one in that week + 1

consequently, the week that loses a game, needs its highest game number moved to the one you took away

Say I move game #61 and 62 from week 2 to week 1. For week 2 would i change the highest game to 62 then? Like it would go 58 59 62 since i moved 61 & 62 to week one and 60 would be changed to a new game #?
