Should we look at the Neurology of Organizations?Today I talked with two colleagues about the Viable System Model. We had a longer discussion about "Which function is a system-1 and which is not". And then, one of them said "This is really an unusual view".Well, it is! I remembered a good quote from Martin Dr. Pfiffner which he made at a Top-Management Workshop in Bad-Wörrishofen, that makes the point: With the Viable System Model, we are not looking at Organizational Charts. We are not looking at Processes. We are looking at the Neurology of an Organization. Not the Anatomy, not the Physiology, but the Neurology - the steering communication processes.
