This week, the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament passed the Bill on the Protection of Civilian Victims of War, enabling #ChildrenBornOfWar legal recognition as civilian victims of war. Contributing to the passing of the Bill was the advocacy campaign launched by the Zaboravljena Djeca Rata / Forgotten Children of War Association and the signees of the Agreement of Cooperation on this issue. The campaign was supported by numerous civil society actors, including the #WarChildhoodMuseum.In a short clip recorded as a part of the #DjecaRata387 campaign, the WCM’s Executive Director, Amina Krvavac, highlighted the importance of cultivating culture of remembrance, as well as museums’ potential to open up discussions on topics that are significant, not only for vulnerable groups themselves, but the creation of a better and more just society in general.The video is subtitled in English language 👇--Initially, the War Childhood Museum presented this topic to the public in Sarajevo, Mostar, and Belgrade, as well as decision-makers and experts in the field through the realization of its #SpeakingOut exhibition, co-produced with survivors of wartime sexual violence #CRSV and children born of war.
